There are so many great things I can say about Mallory and Jeff, but I won’t. Why? Because if you know them, you already know that they are amazing and all those great things are true.
Seems like it was just yesterday that I first met Christine and Matt at Brown’s for our initial meeting! It was there over dinner and drinks, we learned that we had quite a few mutual friends, a huge love of music and that all of us spent a lot of time at Revolution Hall when it was a music venue! We had fun reminiscing about all the shows we attended and excitedly talked about their wedding celebration to come.
Fast forward to the wedding day; the moment I arrived to photograph Christine getting ready she was glowing with happiness. After an emotional ceremony we headed out for portraits in Troy’s Washington Park and then to the reception at where else, but Revolution Hall! Many intricate decorations and details at the reception were handmade by Christine herself. Check out these two happy, happy people and their wedding day below
Last Saturday was a perfect day for a beautiful summer wedding. Set in rustic Riverstone Manor, Cayla + Jeff’s wedding was full of sentimental moments, thoughtful details, light fragrant flowers and simply stunning decor. Congratulations to Jeff + Cayla!

I met Stephanie (Steph to me) back in 2011 during the MOVE Music Festival. I was shooting the event and she was helping Bernie (one of the organizers of the MOVE Music Festival and President of Indian Ledge Music Group) sell tickets. We got to talking about music and everything in between. Shortly, I found out that her and Nick (CEO of Indian Ledge Music Group) were engaged to be married! We exchanged contact info and met up for ice cream a few months later to chat details. It was very important to both Steph and Nick that their wedding and photography were fun, energetic and unique – like them! As I got to know them and learned more about their families, I couldn’t wait to document the special handmade details and unique personalities of everyone who’d be attending. Steph and Nick’s wedding day came quickly! Below are the photographs I captured along with my second photographer Tina. It was a beautiful sunny day, with tears and laughter, sweet surprises, friends, hugs, love and cake. Check it out!
Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Cosimano – you are two very fun, very special people! I loved the inscription on your cake and hope you always carry that memory for and with each other – “When I saw you I fell in love and you smiled because you knew. – Boito”
After a whole week of rain we finally had a sunny day! That day was also the day of Devin and Dave’s beautiful wedding! Before I headed out to meet the girls at their hotel, I read Devin’s Facebook wall post and it couldn’t have been more perfect:
“Who would have thought that the boy who asked to walk me home 13 years ago would turn into the man I’m walking down the aisle to today?! We grew up together now we get to grow old together!”
See for yourself
An incredible day, with family, old friends and new – Devin + Dave’s wedding was definitely one of my favorites so far this season! Congratulations to two great people who are truly meant to be together! ♥ J
A list of vendors who participated in this wedding is coming soon.
Everything about Justin and Amy is pretty extraordinary. Justin is a fireman at the Albany fire department (his dream job – Ladder 4, Albany) and Amy is currently in school to become a nurse. Along with them, is Mikey – the cutest kid with blue eyes you’ll ever meet. He’s going to be a heartbreaker! Together they’re JustAmy. All the details of their wedding were thought out, sentimental and meaningful in a way that doesn’t really need an explanation. Their beautiful story is below.

Click your heels three times and you will have your wish! Hints of red to symbolize love and passion were in everything from Amy’s shoes to her beautiful rose bouquet. Around the bouquet we wrapped around a very special necklace with Amy’s mom’s fingerprint, as a reminder that she will always be here.
The wedding dress of soon to be Mrs. Gershon!
Amy hugs Mikey before he goes off to get dressed.
Mikey’s uncles, Lee and Eddie, help him get dressed for church.
Amy glances in the mirror before heading into the next room to into her wedding dress.
Amy’s godmother looks on as the bridesmaids begin to help Amy to get into her dress.
Sarah, Amy’s maid of honor, helps tie the wedding dress corset.
The corset ribbons were a little long, so Sarah cut them and roasted them a little to prevent fraying. Planning ahead is always good!
Sarah puts on Amy’s something blue, a gift from her.
A little perfume is a girl’s other best friend!
Sarah helps pin a pendant with a picture of Amy’s sister and mom to the back of her dress. Amy’s dad, Dennis, hugs her after he sees her for the first time in her wedding dress.
Usually, it’s the father daughter moment that gets me at weddings. This time, it was Amy and her mom. <3
Justin’s jacket is ready!
Justin’s best man helps him with the tie.
Justin reads a little note from Amy – the one about his surprise gift from her!
Justin walks outside and sees the vintage firetruck Amy arranged to pick up the guys at the house! Perfect!
Everyone is ready at church.
Justin waits to see Amy walk down the aisle with her dad.
First he sees Mikey with a warning sign – that Amy is coming!
St. Francis of Assisi is also where Amy’s parents got married years ago.
Meet the new Mr. & Mrs! And let the party BEGIN!
Congratulations to you JustAmy! You are as sweet as all the cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries combined! I wish you years of happy goofiness and laughter!
Sylvianne and John’s wedding was so much fun! I’ve known Sylvianne since high school and we even went to SUNY Albany at the same time for a while. Years later, while shooting a concert at SPAC, I literally ran into Sylvianne and we reconnected on Facebook. Since then, John has had to witness many a “You’re the cutest!” chats and posts. See the thing is that Sylvianne is so beautiful, she could be a model. This was a frequent discussion back in high school and things haven’t changed in that department since! Last spring, we did an engagement session on a rainy Albany morning (what else is new?!) and had so much fun. Weeks leading up to the wedding Sylvianne and I texted details and plans. Naturally, when the day finally arrived I was dying to capture every moment. I had an incredible time creating memories for Sylvianne and John, so much so that I’m going to forego my usual captions and let this story tell itself. Congratulations Sylvianne and John! You are amazing, and the cutest!

Erin and Mike’s wedding one was of the most unique celebrations I’ve had the honor of documenting so far! The two day affair started on Washing Park’s Bridge in Albany and continued the following day as a festive party at Normanside Country Club in Delmar. Below is day 1 of the amazing celebration and fun time had by all.
The springy invitation and Erin’s bouquet. Light and perfect!
A two day celebration calls for two dresses!
This embroidered handkerchief was given to Erin by her aunt and came straight from Ireland. It was sewn into Erin’s dress for good luck.
Love the subtle wave detail of Erin’s wedding ceremony dress!
The fun green shoes, the antique stunning ring and borrowed earrings completed the outfit!
Awesome Vanessa did Erin’s make up lightening fast!
Before we knew it, it was ceremony time. Check out Kate (Erin’s sister) and her fabulous fascinator hair accessory!
My super speedy assistant, Veronica, grabbed this shot as everyone gathered on the bridge.
The energetic and super creative, Erin Harkes did two songs especially requested by Mike, and as a surprise for Erin. So cool!
Then there were vows with happy tears.
And the kiss!
Mike and Erin’s adorable Boston Terrier – Finn, was fascinated by all the activity so they picked her up for a family photos
Everyone, but the happy couple headed over to dinner at Mingle (on Delaware Ave) while we took a quick stroll through Washington Park for some portraits. So much fun!
One of my favorite shots from the afternoon. A Marilyn Monroesque moment.
And the rings!
Day two blog coming soon! Get excited
From Washington Park on April 5th, we went onto party at the Normanside Country Club on April 6th! And party we did!
But first, everyone had to get ready! Vanessa (of Elegant Esthetics) arrived with all the party colors in hand and got to work!
Once make up was done, the girls helped Erin into her dress.
Since Finn, Erin and Mike’s adorable Boston Terrier made an appearance on Day 1, it was only fair that their cuddly cat – Ted Kennedy (no, not that Ted) did too! He watched over everyone (especially Erin) to make sure that all preparations went smoothly.
Earlier that morning, Mike received a sweet, sweet shirt from Erin!
While the girls got ready, Mike and Uncle Joe traveled to OTB to place some last minute bets.
Here they are with their game faces on!
Now, that didn’t last long…so home to get ready for the party they went!
Here’s Mike – GQ ready!
Mike and Joe got ready fast, wouldn’t anyone with a cigar break as a motivator?
One last look at Erin as she snuck in a little Yoga while Sarah’s (Maid of Honor) sister set Erin’s hair.
Before we knew it, it was time to party with all the guests at Normanside!
The delicious cake from Dolce & Biscotti (I vouch for it’s amazingness!).
After the cocktail there was a sweet slide show.
And then there were speeches that made Erin, Mike, friends and family – laugh and cry.
Followed by a first dance!
And the father-daughter dance!
DJ Playground got the party going!
Then, it was time for cake!
And more dancing, dancing, dancing!
Gangham style happened too…Everyone partied into the night!
Thank you Erin and Mike for allowing me to document your tremendous and awesome celebration. I wish you both, Finn and Ted Kennedy many, many, many years of happiness, laughter and love. Love is limitless.
